How To Play
How do I register?
In order to enter Sky Sports Racing Selector, you need to register with Sky Games. Just click on ‘Log In / Register’, complete your personal details and choose a User ID and PIN. If you have a Sky Games or Sky Bet account, you can use your existing User ID and PIN for a quicker and easier way to play Sky Sports Racing Selector. Plus, you’ll be able to use the same User ID and PIN for Sky Vegas, Sky Poker, Sky Bingo, Sky Casino, Super 6 and Sky Sports Fantasy Football.
How do I win?
Players must select one horse in all Sky Sports Racing Selector races and an answer to the tie-break question before submitting their game entry. The tie-break question is: ‘what will be the winning distance of the first Sky Sports Racing Selector race in that game round’. If two or more players select the winner of all available races in a game round, then the competition prize winner is the player who gets closest with their answer to the tie-break question. If two or more players are jointly closest to the tie-break answer, then the competition prize will be split equally amongst those players. There is a £100 jackpot consolation prize available to a player who picks all available winners but misses out on the jackpot prize in the tie-breaker. In the event of multiple players missing out on the jackpot prize due to the tie-breaker, the £100 consolation prize will be awarded to the player who submitted their entry earliest of those players who picked all possible winners but missed out on the jackpot prize in the tie-breaker. The time of entry will be determined as per the timestamp on each player’s entry held on Infinity Works Consulting servers, and the timestamp will reflect the player’s final submission time after any editing of the entry before the game round has closed.
Can I use my Sky Bet account?
Yes you can, use the same log in details as you would for Sky Bet, Sky Vegas, Sky Bingo, Sky Poker, Sky Casino, Super 6, Fantasy Football or Sporting Life Pick 7.
What happens if one of my Sky Sports Racing Selector horses is a non-runner?
If one of your selections is a non-runner, then that selection automatically transfers on to the SP favourite in that race. If there are joint or co-favourites in that race, your selection becomes the joint or co favourite with the lowest racecard number.
What happens if there is a Dead Heat?
In the event of a Dead heat, both selections count as winners.
What happens if one of the races are void/abandoned/not completed?
If any Sky Sports Racing Selector race is postponed, abandoned or not completed the race will be considered void. If one Sky Sports Racing Selector race is declared void/abandoned/postponed, the Jackpot Competition prize available for that week will be reduced to £100. If two or more Sky Sports Racing Selector races are declared void/abandoned/postponed, the Jackpot Competition prize available for that week will be reduced to £250. If one or more Sky Sports Racing Selector races are declared void/abandoned/postponed on any given game week, the £100 jackpot consolation prize is not available.
The original Sky Sports Racing Selector jackpot prize is maintained for the next game round in the event of a game round where void races cause a reduced jackpot for that game round.
What happens if no one picks all available winners?
On completion of a Sky Sports Racing Selector game round where no player has selected all possible winners, the best performing player will receive £100 cash. The best performing player is determined by having picked the most winners and placed horses in the round, without picking all winners. In order, the best performing player will be determined using the following ranked score system:
If the game round comprised 7 races:
- 6 wins, 1 placed
- 6 wins, 0 placed, 1 unplaced
- 5 wins, 2 placed
- 5 wins, 1 placed, 1 unplaced
- 5 wins, 0 placed, 2 unplaced
- 4 wins, 3 placed
- 4 wins, 2 placed, 1 unplaced
- 4 wins, 1 placed, 2 unplaced
- 4 wins, 0 placed, 3 unplaced
The same ranking principle applies if the game round only comprised 6 races. If no players picked 7 winners, and no players picked 6 winners either, then the best performing player is the player who picked 5 winners with 2 placed horses. If no player picked 5 winners with 2 placed horses, then the best performing player is the player with a record of 5 winners, 1 placed, and 1 unplaced horse, and so on. In the event of a tie, the winner will be settled using the tie-break question. If a tie-break cannot settle players, then prize will be awarded to the player who submitted their Sky Sports Racing Selector game entry earliest of those players who are tied for first place and achieved a correct tie-break answer. The time of entry will be determined as per the timestamp on each player’s entry held on Infinity Works Consulting servers. The timestamp on a player’s entry will reflect the time that the player submitted their entry. If the player edited their entry after first submission but before the game round closed then the timestamp will reflect the time that the final submission was made by the player.
